Sal, any different steels planned...

Are there any "new" steels slated for future Spydies? Maybe something in CPM 420V, BG-42, or maybe even Talonite. Just a thought.

Hi Paul. Yes, we are always looking and testing. But no timeline commitments at this time.

We have some BG42 to test in a Military Jr test model.

We have some Boye Dendritic Cobalt planned for a Military test. These are already cast into the Military shape.

We have several titanium blade materials being tested.

We've already done some CPM420V testing,

etc. etc.

However, for production, we'd like to watch reacton to CPM440V in the "general market" before we go "hog wild" with exotic steels that may be too expensive or too limited of a market for production.

Each new material requires extensive wheel testing to come up with the right grinding wheels for production. Much different than a custom maker grinding on a Burr King.

We were first with many of the current "exotic" steels (CPM440V, VG10, ATS55) in production now.

I'm sure you'll see more in the future.

Thanks Sal,
That's just one of the reasons that has me coming back for more. You're not afraid to try something new or to make changes. Looking forward to what comes in the future.

Don't forget to send some downunder Sal.
It's frustrating seeing the US boys selling the new models months before we see them.
Even worse missing out on the numbered versions. I've been told Zen are trying real hard now . It's great to have an importer behind your needs.
