Four lock backs, one fixed blade, one liner lock. I got started with FRN Spydie's, which explains it.

Back/Mid locks predominately, next is liner locks, then compresion locks, then ball locks.

I am prettly comfortable with any lock spyderco puts out so is not my primary decision criteria. That being said, the compresion lock would be my first choice.

Back locks - my favorite by far, too. Hate liner locks.

2 frame lock (RIL)
2 lock backs (unless you count byrd knives as well, then add 3 more)
1 comp lock
1 caged BB lock

I used to have many more comp locks (ie, Para2s), but sold off all but one. Clearly I need to regenerate my Spydie inventory. :)

I like the back locks as well because they make for a really good looking knife and like you're getting more for your money. However my choice is the liner locks and frame locks because they're much easier to release.I don't care for the caged ball lock and I hate the compression lock.
