Cool backstory Gernot 👊… I’d dang sure stop and help milk some cows or split some wood in exchange for goodies…kinda reminds me of “The Hills Are Alive” scene in the Sound of Music 😉
Doesn't it? When I see Gernot's pictures I want to burst into song and twirl...

I’m glad I have glow in the dark knives. Or else how would I find them in the sock drawer?

AWT scales on Magnacut Native5. It's always been one of my favorites, but after putting the AWT scales on it, I absolutely love it. Highly recommended!

And yet another beautiful backdrop. I've been away from this thread for a while, and seeing this I know why I came back :)

Incredible scenery as usual Gernot!
Thanks guys for the kind words and glad you like the scenery!

I may share some background to the pic, as I sometimes like to do:

This place is called the Sellarn-Alm.

An "Alm" is kind of a "seasonal mountain pasture" (@aicolainen I think you have that in Norway too). So a place higher up in the mountains where the farmers drive and herd the cattle in the sommer month, so that the grass on the meadows in the valley can regrow or they can sow corn or whatever there.

On this particular "Alm", they are not only herding and milking the cattle, but also, like in former times, produce butter and cheese right up there.
As kind of a sidejob hikers and mountainbikers who come by occasionally are offered simple, very tasty homemade meals (not yet though, since the cattle will be driven up there just in June)

The Sellarn-Alm is a pretty quiet place, since it is not on a spectacular, high mountain, but a rather low and not often visited one.
I like to step by there though when hiking- both in the off season, like lately when I took the pic, and also when the cattle and farmers are up there and one can have food or beer or some cakes.
As well as on the quite many other "Almen" in our great mountains around here.

Two more pics of the Sellarn-Alm:
