Careful tightening down the clip. I've seen at least one report of it breaking. Apparently there isn't much material in the area around the screw.

Not my pics:

How little material is there:

The one person I've seen take it apart said there was a burr around the detent hole (easy to file down), and the bearing races felt soft such that the action felt better with them replaced with others.

Mine came today. I have to say it's very nicely done. Fit and finish is nice, edge bevels are even, ets. Mine flips great too. I like having a variety of opening options. Plus I like to use the flipper tab as a guard. So I'll be keeping it installed on mine

Would anyone who has already received their Spymyto be willing to measure the bearings? Mine won't be here until Friday but I will update with my findings if no one else does before then. Pivot size/OD/ball diameter would be great. I'm curious if anything from Skiff would fit.
already planning on upgrading the bearings?

I have Skiff and Taco bearings. Neither did much for the knives I bought them for. So they're just sitting in one of my knife boxes. My thought was maybe I'd try a set (providing they fit) if necessary. It's not necessary on my copy of the knife. Once unlocked the blade drops closed easily with a slight flick of the wrist

thanks for the info, such a thing happened to me on other knives when the torx print goes deeper than the screw's head. I guess I'll try to see what other screws I have around to replace it !
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

I love that Spyderco numbers the flash batch knives. I think the prospect of getting a cool serial number is something fun to chase, kind of like getting a rare trading card in a pack of cards.

Numbers like 0001/2000 or 2000/2000 would be super cool, in my opinion. So many other potential numbers too.

I wouldn’t necessarily attribute any monetary value to any specific number though. The value of any serial number is primarily, and probably exclusively, subjective.

My danger pickle (or Bombshell, as Spyderco likes to call it) is serial# 0210. Not a special number, except for the fact I woke up singing Willie Nelson’s song “10 with a 2” the morning it was to be delivered. How neat is that? Pretty neat.

I put Skiff bearings in anything and everything that I can. I have probably used them in 20+ knives at this point, and I can't think of a single one that didn't improve in some noticeable way. My Spymyto will be here today, I'll probably disassemble sometime over the weekend and see if Skiff offers anything that will fit.

To those who have already had the knife, does it come with the special tool mentioned in post #61? Thanks.

I got 1920 of 2000. My blade is slight off center and the flipper tab is crooked. It's not the end of the world but it triggers my OCD!

The day I picked mine up at the SFO they had 4 on hand. The demo model was #1237. I asked if they had #1234, and we joked about something like #007. (Not enough digits.😉) I ended up with #0431, so they’re very random.

“Mrj” I’m jealous, mine is x4xx/2000

Today my son’s knife arrives and I hope for a number under 10, or 500/2000 or 777/2000 or 1000/2000 or 1978/2000
