Not my home mountains, but a seven hours flight farther south.
Enjoying climbing and hiking in shorts and T shirt one more time before back home ski touring season will start (at least I hope so and for snow).

Salt 2 on easy duty, just a bit bread and cheese cutting on a hike plus removing a cactus spike from my foot.

Well, I love it!

Right now the Goddard is my main EDC, it just "connected" with me and I am enjoying it a lot.

But this still is more like a honeymoon-phase, and more rationally speaking and in the long run though I am certain that the thin red line Endura and Stretch XL SE will battle out which one will take that spot (main EDC).
(Also cause the Goddard just lacks teeth... :smirk )

The thin red line Endura with its combo edge is the closest I got so far to my wish VG10 ffg Endura SE regular blade shape.

The serrations are good, hopefully you can make your own judgement (as far as possible from a photo) by looking at the pic below (the knife was brand new back then).

Also, as far as I can tell the VG10 has better edge holding than it is the case with my older VG10 Spydies... nothing scientific at all, just a layman gut feeling.

On top my example is built very well and flawlessly executed (I secured all screws with locktite right away anyway, since Seki Spydies have a tendency to come with loose screws in my experience).

And: This knife made me realize again that a comboedge can be really good and usefull!
I still prefer full SE, but the thin line Endura offers a good amount of serrations already and the PE part is a bit better for stuff like scraping (for example resin of dwarf mountain pines off the palms) or really detailled carving.

Aicolainen obviously really likes his thin line Endela with its comboedge too and got a thin line Endura too quite recently as far as I know.

Image
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Indeed I do and indeed I have. I like them both, but I've used the Endura more extensively since I got it, just so I can get acquainted with it.
Being so similar I really expected to only keep one of them in the long run, but now I'm not so sure. They're more different than I expected and both are the types of knives that really invites you to go to work and really use them - so I'm afraid the secondary value may not even justify the trouble of selling at this point.
These are the only two CE knives I've used and they've made me a believer.

Yep! Beautiful weather out. Not hot not cold just right.

Added this guy to my fifth pocket after reading the ladybug thread. Thought it'd be fun to revisit it.

Image

Even though it's not even as wide as my palm when open it still gives me a pretty comfortable and secure grip. Fits me better than the ladybug.
