Manix 2 Tanto? Wharncliffe?
Manix 2 Tanto? Wharncliffe?
Seems like a platform with options.
Re: Manix 2 Tanto? Wharncliffe?
Seems like a platform for finally an ffg full SE version
/ Concerning your proposal: A wharnie Manix would be nice indeed, and the rather short cutting edge what many appearantly prefer in a wharnie (not too big)
But looking at the recent discontinued list, it seems they're moving away a bit from that blade shape. Guess it does not sell too well...
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Re: Manix 2 Tanto? Wharncliffe?
I prefer a modified wharncliffe or sheepsfoot, with just a very gentle belly (think Caribbean Sheepsfoot). For some reason, I am put off by a truly straight edge. Though I really like my swayback in theory, I don't carry it as much as I though I would. I carry my modified Caribbean Sheepsfoot signficantly more than the leaf version.

Thanks, I think it was one of the members on here that showed off theirs, can't remember who, but I liked it so much that I did it, and there is no turning back. I didn't like the snub nose as much and the red turned out great, and draws less attention in the pocket at work.
