I'm really happy with my current favourite Spydercos, but that hasn't stopped me from dreaming up some material/design combinations that I really, really want to see (though they are also quite unlikely):

• Schempp Rock in Cru-Wear or 3V
• Schempp Rock Salt in LC200N or MagnaCut
• Yojimbo 2 Salt in LC200N (olive drab or forest green G10 handle scales) or MagnaCut (flat dark earth or coyote G10 scales), with satin finish & DLC options
• Ronin 2 in AEB-L or 14C28N
• Reverse in AEB-L or 14C28N (honestly, I just want the Reverse back in production, so a minor upgrade to BD1N from the original BD1 or even a downgrade to 8Cr13MoV would be more than fine)
• RockJumper in K390
• Tasman Salt 2 in LC200N
• A regular production Shaman in CruWear or 3V
• Lil' Temperance 3 Lightweight in SPY27
• Temperance 2 in CruWear or 3V
• Jumpmaster 2 in LC200N or MagnaCut
• Serrata in Cast 440C, but with a grind more like Stuart Ackerman's custom Serratas

My dream is probably a standard Stretch 2 in G10 and CruWear, or at least an FRN one in CruWear. Guess I'll just have to make do with the XL!

Really depends on what you mean by "Dream Spyderco".

If you mean "realistically achievable within the material plane"? Magnacut Chaparral in pastel Terotuf with 4-way pocket clip.

If you mean "dream" in the sense that we have cast off the shackles of euclidean geometry and causality in a maddened somnolence -- a phantasmal knife of impossible proportions, conceived in a hypnagogic delirium? A Kiwi 4 with a Caged Ball Bearing Lock. VG-10 is fine.

I don't know about dream, but one idea I keep coming back to is that of making some nice wooden scales for one of the HAP40 Seki Knife Center exclusives. My father is really into wood working (and he's quite good at it). He has access to a fancy CNC router as well. It would be a cool project to work with him to come up with some scales. Maybe something in snakewood? Anyways, it would be a unique knife with a meaningful story. What could be better than that?

I could go for that one myself. But I won't stop there. I would also add a C-44 Dyad with a pair of supersteel blades.

Also an updated, revamped version of the old RENEGADE model. It was great with a GIN-1 blade and I can only imagine how nice of a folder it would be with a newer G-10 handle and a supersteel blade.
