Hey Eagle1*, welcome to the forum. I'm new here also, and I've found it to be the most well-mannered, informative and interesting spot I've encountered on social media.

BTW, I had a Delica like yours that was taken away from me by a customs official in Paris!

I’d recommend checking out their USA made knives for one of your next ones.
Would love to know how to ell if one is made in the USA since I am new here... Great looking USN mini knife too btw, what model is that made on?
If the knife is in hand, check the back side of the tang for "Golden, Colorado USA, Earth". If you are shopping, the Spyderco website can be searched by country of manufacture.

If I remember right, that USN knife was a hawkbill Ladybug Salt in toxic green with TiNitride coating.

Yablanowitz is right — the US made Spydercos are stamped Golden, Colorado USA, Earth. USN did a few forum knives, this take on the Ladybug came out in 2015.

Hi Eagle,

Welcome to our forum.

That's an old knife you have there. FYI, I designed that model on an airplane flying from Hawaii to Denver. It was our first FRN model Thanx to Blackie Collins for introducing us to FRN when he designed for Gerber.

Thanks for the info on this blade, neat that one of the owners and/or employees of Spyderco actually reads and follows the posts on your company forum.

See what I mean about this place being special? :)

Not too many places on the internet where you can have the kind of interactions that happen here. Sal, Kristi, Mr. Janich, and any number of designers often chime in on topics. It’s pretty awesome.

If you want to check out a Golden, Colorado made Spyderco, I really can’t recommend the UKPK or G10 Para 3 enough. They’re fantastic knives.

you could just look up any model that interests you on the main Spyderco site - as an example I´ve linked the Delica below: When you click on "technical specs" you´ll find the info where the model is made (in this case: "Origin: Japan" )

https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/C11F/456
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

Hi, Eagle1*:
Welcome to our forum! We show the country of origin for all of our products in the tech specs tab on the products page. We also have a category for USA Made products under the Products dropdown menu. I hope this helps and I hope you enjoy your time with us!
