Byrd Wharncliffe
Re: Byrd Wharncliffe
Hi Sonorum,
The byrds are flat ground and if we make a Wharnie, I'd like to add a fully serrated version. I think that serrated Wharnie's work very effectively with teeth.

Never had a Byrd model before, but I cannot say no to these wharnie models! Especially if they look this good, AND have options with teeth :D

Re: Byrd Wharncliffe
That's awesome, Sal! I have no idea which ones would be bigger sellers, but I'd probably buy a couple at byrd prices. Maybe more.
Re: Byrd Wharncliffe
Yeah I can see the complete SE set in my possession.

Re: Byrd Wharncliffe
This is very cool.
I don’t know much about the byrd line, but I’ve bought about 10 as gifts, or at the request of friends and family who didn’t want to shell out for Spydercos, over the years.
The last ones were a Ti Meadowlark and Cara Cara for one of my brothers. He already has the Ti Robin. I hadn’t realised that series has 50/50 choils, unlike the Delica and Endura. I like that feature a lot. Those Ti pieces were really well put together, and superb value for money.
I’d definitely be interested in these Wharny variants in FFG in both PE and SE.
I would expect them to make excellent work knives and gifts.
The HAP40 Delica Wharny is a perennial favourite of mine.

Re: Byrd Wharncliffe
One of the reasons I like the byrd models is the 50/50 choil. It just seems to fit my grip better than the equivalent Spydie models.
Which was why the byrd Wharncliffe’s are so appealing.

So far I have agree with that after receiving my Byrd Hawkbill. I'm finding myself wishing my Delica had the same choil as the Hawkbill.

Trying times, but an approximate ETA?
Re: Byrd Wharncliffe
6 months to a year would be my guess.

Really looking forward to these. A serrated Harrier 2 Wharncliffe would be right up my alley as a back-up work knife.
