A place to list and reference all Spyderco counterfeits, clones, and replicas that are found. Anything that isn't a legitimate Spyderco fits in this area.

PPT user opinion

Hi,

I've just bought this PPT and would have your opinion if it's a right one or not?

I've compared the milled handle forms with the available pictures and the are strictly the same. The weight is the same. I've a doubt due to the spider on the blade but as it is a used knife, I'm not sure...

If I may have your opinion it should be perfect

Pictures are here:

Thanks by advance

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that is not legit, it's a little bit better than many counterfeits, but the deep carry clip is missing the spyder, the blade is all wrong, the font/lettering is wrong... I am not an authority by any means, but there are folks here that are, and I'm 99% sure it's not genuine. Look at every detail of your blade, and compare it to the pictures from the link below...

never seen a fake ppt. It seems to me that this is just a very used knife.
I use translator most of the time.

There was a link to the old Spyderco catalogs.

I agree with Higher. That is a PPT that has been beaten up and "sharpened" with a belt sander. Check the pics at Spydiewiki for a good comparison.
