Right then- It's Monday and you all know what that means!: Judgey McJudgeface time :D

Reject- A father and son shot in that shiny new pakkawood. Jealous!
Mushroom- I could reach out and pluck that from the post. Lovely.
asmith001- Another father'n'shot but from the business end- as a lover of odd angles and close-ups this hit a spot for me.
Embry386- A stark wintry shot there in the middle of summer.#
RLR- A user in repose. I wanted to see more!
Remnar- EXTREME close up, ala Wayne's World- I love it.
Filoso- The Spydiechef in it's natural habitat- nice!
Toto07- a sexy, soft lit pin up shot of a Dodo- But one picture a week, if we keep to thread rules

The green of the G10 matches the background, the reflection sings to me and I love the Worker

Winner: MadMac
The background is packed with interest, the lighting fun and all in a shot where an oft-overlooked workhorse of the range is getting- well- used. Plus I love me a close-up and funky lighting.

I will not pick a theme for this week because the calendar contest is underway. There are only 18 more days until the August 11 deadline. Pull out all the stops and use this week toward getting into the 2018 calendar. Of course, you don't have to use your calendar pic for our weekly contest. You can use another one you like.

Always a tough decision. This week the burden of choosing next week's winner goes to FNG, Forum New Guy, embry386. Depth of field in low light conditions is a challenge sometimes requiring a tripod, long exposure time and remote shutter release. But, it can also be used to put the focus where emphasis is desired and create a vignette. In this case, the Spyder "bug" and the thumb hole are sharply focused and viewed from an interesting perspective. The ancient stone provides rich texture to the background. In short, I liked it.



Runner up is abbazaba's fresh image. Well done, everyone. Thanks for the eye candy.
