Re: Is the Siren a Salt?

Lance, I'm a fellow kayak fisherman and really excited about this folder. I'm not too into fixed blades so I've been back and forth on the Waterway, but this folder is a GO for me!

Re: RIP Pacific Salt

I feel your pain. I've lost 2 Dragonfly Salts to the deep. I just got my third one in the mail. I'm looking at tethers and floating fobs for when I'm on or around the water. The Pacific Salt is a great knife, I have one too and I carry it quite a bit around the yard for trimming plants and on the wa...

Re: Sal: Can we have another run of the Caspian Salt?

I could see this happening if the new Swick does really well. They're a similar design. There was already some interest expressed in a longer bladed Swick in that thread. Although it was designed as a specialty tool, I wonder how well the Caspian works for general utility use. There's a new Swick? ...

Re: Sal: Can we have another run of the Caspian Salt?

I'm definitely in on this one! Mu preference is the blunt tip. I got really lucky and picked a Caspian Salt 2 blunt tip up off of eBay a couple years ago before I got into collecting Spyderco's. I didn't even fully realize what I was buying at the time and impulse bought it for about $170. I was int...

Re: McBee - when’s the next production run?

Part of me struggles with spending that much on such a small knife, but I really love the small ones and the McBee is really appealing. It'll be a user. . . "I think"

Re: Best Spydie for kayaking and canoeing...

I carry my SE pacific salt or my SE Dragonfly Salt (at least I did before I lost 2 of them!). I wish they still made the Caspian. I’ve been contemplating the salt enuff, just wondering how secure the sheath is?

Re: Spyderco Pacific

I have the SE Pacific and it’s an awesome knife. If you are using to cut up chunk bait the SE goes through a whole fish like a laser! All 5 of my H1 knives are SE.

I just picked up the PE Native 5 Salt LC200N so I’ll have that too.

Re: Native Salt owners?

I just got mine a few days ago and it's just like many have said here. When closed, the blade is just a bit off center, but if you push it towards center, it moves and kind of "clicks" (feel no noise) into place dead center. Opening is stiff but smooth. I can't flick it open. Pressing the ...

Re: Manbug Salt - use for cutting braided fishing line?

The best thing I've found for braid is the Boomerang Tools snips (not actually from the Land of Bloke, unfortunately). There are several styles, including this saltwater model: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/71nUKrNYY0L._SX425_.jpg That's exactly my goto. I have one clipped on my ...

Re: You're So Jaded...

I have a small but growing collection of Spyderco Knives. I've probably been averaging 3 or 5 knives a year for the last 3 year years. I like the choosing a different knife to carry each day depending on what I'm doing. It's interesting to see how certain knives get more use then others. I haven't e...

Re: Manbug Salt - use for cutting braided fishing line?

I have the Manbug salt, Ladybug hawkbill se salt, and Dragonfly SE salt. When sharp, they’ll all cut braid but honestly a knife isn’t the best tool for cutting fishing line particularly tag ends on knots. I love my salt Series knives but their are better tools for cutting braided fishing line.

Re: How about a folding Waterway?

I'm a kayak fisherman and I was super excited when I heard that they were working on a knife with this activity in mind. I have to say, I never expected it to be a fixed blade with that geometry. I thought maybe something like a PDF knife similar to the Caspians or a really unique folder. A fixed bl...

I just want a full set in LC200N with the Galley V and a butcher's block that accommodates all of it.

PLEASE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Edit: No holes in the blades, please. I understand that it's your trademark, but it does not belong on a kichen knife.
This! Except I want the hole. :-)

Re: M4 Shaman Exclusive

Based on BHQ's numbers, if the run was 600 knives and the people who bought more then one sell the extras they bought, that means that about 78 knives (13%) will end up in the secondary market. What's interesting, if those people didn't buy them to resell, and everyone only bought 1 to keep, no one ...
