Howdy pard!
It's ok to take a break from the general forum every once in a while!
And, may I say that I would absolutely love to see Tuscany one fine day!
My sister went to Europe a few year ago. She went to England, France & Italy and her favorite was Italy!
Besides Tuscany, we really. really, really 😆 want to see the Amalfi Coast!
And have a Lemoncello!

you are welcome in Italy! the Amalfi coast is beautiful, absolutely worth seeing, I've never been there but I've drank a lot of limoncelli :))) good homemade limoncelli (with real lemons) not the ones from the supermarket ;) then what can I say, Tuscany is always worth it a ride!

Welcome to the forum, Hic et nunc.
Fellow European with a similar disease here :) Norwegian to be precise.

Been to Italy a handful of times, it's a really beautiful country. One of my biggest regrets is missing out on a climbing trip to the Dolomites when my climbing group arranged a trip there many years ago. Something got in the way and I was so jealous of those who were able to go.

if I'm here, I'm already worried
For now I have spent little (not very little) I only have the Shaman 15v :smiling-heart-eyes

I'm honestly starting to understand the history of the Spyderco philosophy from the numerous posts I've read on the forum.
After all, there are 2 categories: collectors and those who actually use them (the third is the steel technicians) :party-face

and then there's my wife who tells me not to spend :winking-tongue

Welcome aboard! My wife graduated from that last category and just surrendered 😂. I'm a Spyderco user. Beyond H1 and S30V I'm completely lost.

Welcome! This is a great forum. I am very interested in Italian culture and knives. Most people think of spring driven so called switch blades from Italy but the Italian knife makers produce lockblade and fixed blades of great quality.

Thank you, I'm here very willingly.
I'm not a great expert but I can tell you that each region had, so to speak, "its blade, its traditional knife". There was probably a lot of craftsmanship which has now been a bit lost, let's say it's a niche for a few admirers ( one category I think are hunters)
the other, a bit dictated by the fashion of the moment, those who do bushcraft.
The Maniago area is well known for its vocation/tradition of cutlers.
The Sardinia region also has one of the popular knives such as the famous resolza.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resolza

I'll link you to the various types of Italian knives

https://www.coltelliditalia.it/insieme- ... -italiani/

As for the most recent blades I would say Fox Knives, Wander tactical ,MKM, lionsteel and extrema ratio (where I live near the production)
a good craftsman:

as for us Italians, a glass of wine, steak on the grill, friends for a lifetime!!

I'm sure I forgot something.....
Thanks again :winking-tongue
