Since we do not have a dedicated thread for this one. Feel free to show the love.

I'm very excited. It has been awhile since I've had a non LW Manix 2. This is very high on my priority list. This one seemed like a no-brainer for the Crucarta treatment. Between the model and the steel, this one will have a special place iny heart.

Cruwear is a dream for me. Spyderco seems (I guess) to do a fantastic job on the heat treatment because Cruwear can take a beating at the edge and hold up very well. Relatively easy to sharpen and holds a decent enough edge for wear resistance to last long enough in my uses. Probably my favorite Spyderco steel.

For RIT Dye fans, you can RIT Dye Micarta! I was hoping for a DLC Knife Joker exclusive in Cruwear and Forrest Green G10, but who knows how long that could be. I'm thinking of dying this one a dark green or just leaving it as is. We will see, but I can hardly wait!

Same here Jeff - was hoping for a KJ exclusive, happy to see a non LW and love the materials used. I have put a stop on my Spydie-spending, at least until I recover from upgrading a couple of pistols. This one will force me out of my self imposed ban ….

I'm glad this is a regular production model. I'll try to get one when it is released, but in case it sells out super fast, I can take comfort in knowing that it will be restocked at some future date.

This and the Catcherman may be my two most anticipated models from the Reveal. I am also pretty happy that this is regular production because I missed out on the 15v version and this is a very nice surprise.

Excited for this one. I missed out on the few Cruwear exclusives over the years and been tough finding a Cruwear Manix on the secondary market for not stupid prices. So I'm really glad to see this will be a standard production model.

Yeah I'm pumped too. Scales should be a nice deep brown after a while. The wait after reveals is almost torture.

I was excited to see this but then disappointed to see the weight. I wish they had used the skeletonised liners found on all but the base S30V model. 4.9oz is just too heavy for such a small knife on my opinion.

Yep, they should/could end up like these Shaman scales from the Cruwear drop a few years ago, swapped into Rex45.

If I'll ever get a "heavy weight" Manix, this one definitely is number one on my list. More so though for the "..carta" than for the "Cru..." ;)

So I think the print on the weight is a mistake. The weight matches the standard S30V model that doesn't have skeletonized liners. However, the description in the reveal says they all feature skeletonized liners. I would bet that gets updated at some point. Maybe Mike could chime in on that.

I hope they keep it at its normal weight but probably they will have caved in to the pressure and skeletonized te liners. The knife design needs its weight its like ford started making there f150 pick ups completely in Carbonfibre it may work but that doesn’t make it correct.
Those who find 4 to 5 ounces to heavy should brows the lW line and stop complaining about everything that has a little more weight , there are more then enough lighter options better yet there are far more light weight knives in the line up then there are knives that are a bit heavier.
So my proposal would be get the new Salt Manix for example you will love that!

While we're on the topic, what other Cru-Wear Manix'es have there been? I'm only aware of the purple G-10 but I'm sure there were others...

KnifeCenter smooth black G10 satin & DLC exclusives, and a checkered gray G10 sprint from quite a few years back.

There was also the smooth carbon fiber, satin blade exclusive from I believe knifecenter around 2016.

Right, still up on the Spyder website.
Price same for the new brown canvas micarta as for the smooth black DLC.
