Re: Show your Vegetable Gardens and Harvests
Yeah the heat is stifling sometimes and you can actually see how it affects the plants…one of our hydrangeas had burnt tips on some of the leaves, also the cucumber and fig leaves just wilt in the sun around 4 in the afternoon…we’re having to water a couple times a day…thank you for sharing SG, you are the QUEEN OF THE SOIL… sorry was that too corny? No pun …those tomatoes and peppers are beautifulSG89 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 18, 2023 6:08 pmThe intense heat is really taking a toll on our garden and our ability to maintain it. The tomatoes don’t taste as great as they did in June. But there are still good things happening. I had the idea to flag where the watermelons are because it’s hard to see them sometimes. The peppers are serrano, habanero, datil, sugar rush peach.

The next best thing to growing your own is having a pick and pay farm down the road…really cool old school farm that’s been around for a very long time (generational)…the couple that lives there still implements the honor system and cash only

Well that’s like getting some killer knives in the Spyderco mystery box …Bananarama!!!… to me the tobasco plant is the prettiest with all the different colors…I think my pepper plants are behind cuz they were the last thing planted…I built that raised bed after everything was in the ground and it’s my “pepper patch”…I love peppers and the different things you can do with themManixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2023 6:11 pmI had four plants brought home by wife that got mixed in an order for landscaping for Caterpillar .
