I wish they’d make a manix 2 XL exclusive in this vein. That would be right up my street.

Personally I would but it… if I didn’t just buy the REC PM3 and already own 2 other Manix knives.

For some reason the green works well on this and the steel is pretty solid. Until the salt version soles out this is as close as you can get. Nice knife.

For that price I'll probably end up grabbing one eventually. Don't really have a ton of experience with the steel. I imagine they'll release a DLC variant eventually which I would prefer, just cuz I like the color combo.

I'm not buying, but just wanted to agree that this is an excellent value in today's market. If you are on the fence about the manix 2 you should jump at this one. If you don't love it, it'll be easy to resell and if you do love it, but hate the scale color, there are plenty of cool aftermarket scales that fit it.

Well done KJ!

I'm in. I love the Manix 2 and I love 20cv. I'll probably buy two--one to replace the scales and use, and one to add to my ever growing stack of manix variants.

I think the Spyderco pic looks closer to my Neon Green PM2. The KnifeJoy pic looks a little washed out.

I'm not great with a camera... And I do think my photo makes it look slightly darker than it is in person... But closer to the Spydie stock photo than the KnifeJoy pics. :zany

My Para 3's color has been washed out over the past 6 months of using it at a garden design job. The neon green is now way less radiant.

I love the neon green scale color on my KJ Para 3 and for those wanting a Manix, I echo the previous posts and say out loud that this is a screaming deal. If I didn't have the 20CV Manix from DLT with the red scales, I'm pretty sure that this would be an instant buy.

Going off tangent for a bit, I wonder why the Manix, with full metal liners and a more complicated CBBL lock system, is more cheaper than a compression lock Spydie? I was thinking that with full liners and more internal parts, it should be more expensive than CL Spydies which have lesser parts, yet this one is more cheaper than most Lil Native exclusives, the smallest Spydie with CL so far.

I love the handle color, but handle color isn't enough to get me to buy (or not buy) a knife. 20CV I could take or leave. The real problem for me, is that the LW Mx2s have pretty much ruined me for the linered G10 versions. I don't carry any of my linered G10 Mx2s anymore, I always pocket a lightweight instead, so I'll be enjoying this model vicariously as you folks post photos of it wrapped in green plants or next to green frogs...

Yeah. I missed that one, sadly. Nice knife.

The Military/Paramilitary/Para 3 are a legacy brand that demand a higher price. The standard Manix does not have certain features such as skeletonized liners. And the compression lock is arguably a more complex lock since it has more things which cause cause it to fail. The great thing about the CBBL lock is its simplicity.

This is one of those knives I know I am going to regret not getting. The other fairly recent one was the St Nick Manix XL.

it's been said here multiple times in the past that the manix was intentionally kept at a lower price on purpose. and the lack of skeletonized liners isnt the reason either because most of the exclusives are skeletonized and still cheaper than the stock models (but it's also been said that's probably because they were commissioned before price increases). at any rate, it's hard to say if the military/para family is more expensive because it's more popular, or more popular because it's more expensive. either way, it's not because it's better than the manix. everyone has their preferences, but these are all very capable and great designs. the manix isn't cheaper because it's somehow lacking.
