St. Nick’s Exclusive red and black Goddard!

#1

Post by Candyman »

St. Nick’s Knives just announced their next Spyderco Exclusive - the Goddard!

“After a long hiatus, we have brought the Goddard back, but this time with our signature red FRN handle and black CPM-4V blade. This is the first ever exclusive variation of the Goddard and will be available next Friday, June 30th at Noon Central time for $125 with a limit of two per customer. We will post some size comparison shots as soon as we can. Thanks for everyone’s continued support and we can’t wait to get these out in the world!”

Just saw this on Instagram. There were rumblings of a Goddard exclusive on here recently too, so I’m guessing this is it.

I’m a bit surprised that they would take the risk on a discontinued model like this. Their materials and color combo is great though and likely popular enough that any model they do will have buyers.

I’m definitely interested in this one but I don’t know if I’ll bite. The price is right (and a breath of fresh air in todays market) but I have a micarta version of this knife and it rarely sees any pocket time. Going to have to think about this one. :thinking

Wow, unexpected, but in a good way. Reasonable pricing as well. Now, do I need one?

This was a big surprise. I'm really glad to see that folks have done exclusives which aren't just the big three.

Looks like the older ones were pinned, but this one has screws.

I think I'm in the same boat. If it is easy to buy, I'll have one.

Is that thing one piece of FRN like a Dragonfly or is it two? There aren't any screws holding the backspacer area together except the clip barrels.

Same.

The design reminds me of the Siren.

Does it have liners?

I just had out my Siren and Goddard, trying to decide which one I'm taking fishing Sunday. The original Goddard does not have liners. They are similar, but I prefer the straighter Siren and it feels better in hand. Also, I prefer its weight distribution. Still - I will buy the St. Nick's

Thanks! When you close your Goddard, does the edge come as close to your finger as the Siren does? My Siren can nick the top of my index finger if I don't close it just right.

Man I want this model, but am not stoked on the black + red. I’d love for DLT to run this in black + green with Cruwear.

We’ll see. If it doesn’t sell quick I’ll grab one.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Not sure - my Goddard is tight so it has never dropped fast enough to bite me. But I've gotten my finger with the Siren at least twice. I would be better off with the fixed blade version.

I do have a soft spot for the red and black. But I'm thinking no to the FRN.

Is there an aftermarket deep carry clip available for this knife? It looks to stand very proud in the pocket as is.
