It sounds like he really worked on it. Based on the document below Spyderco staff must have been interviewed.

I was trying to figure out which format to go with and found there are descriptions towards the bottom of the KnifeSteelNerds page. Sounds like the hard cover, with it's better pictures, might be the way to go.

I'm waiting for mine to get here. Thanks for reminding me to get it Naperville. :)

Larrin is really making good for himself. It may seem strange but I feel pride when people from our community do well.

The knife community has been very good to me. In many ways this book is about that community.

No Kindle edition? Kindle is ideal for large smartphones.

Does the PDF edition have the same high-quality images as the Hardcover?

Thank You.

Fantastic! Congratulations Larrin.

The preview was interesting... Does that mean I'm a nerd? 🙂

Went overboard and ordered the hardcover version. Sounds like tons of information in this book.

I ordered and downloaded the PDF edition to my iPhone. It’s quite readable. I browsed through about 100 pages. It’s quite interesting. It’s a combination of history, science, marketing (love the old ads), steel metallurgy, chemical compositions and business. There’s a lot of detailed information.

I’ve been meaning to read more about stainless (“rustless”) steel and Harry Brearley so I’ll start with Chapter 9: HARRY BREARLEY AND STAINLESS STEEL.

Thanks.

There are so few excellent books on martial arts and knives, plus FOMO. Paper copies will not be in print forever so I just bought the PDF. Will buy the hardcover around the 3rd of next month when I get paid.
