Thoughts to share;

The old Shaman was teaching the children of the tribe. He said to the children; inside of every person, there is a war going on between two wolves.

One wolf is for anger, disharmony, discontentment and dominance.

The other wolf is for harmony, contentment, hope and love.

One of the children asked the shaman; which wolf wins? The Shaman said; the one you feed.

= Be responsible, save for the future, you have enough knives for 10 lifetimes.

= But what if I'm one knife short for the zombie apocalypse? My sock drawer has too much extra space.

Very wise words there Sal.

I see the forum a bit more in the saying there is a fine line between love and hate.
Our members and also myself have maybe grown to love Spyderco a bit to much.
And i do believe that the harder you love something the faster you can get hurt by it.
The only good thing in this case is the hurting stops quickly because the positive side always takes over again every time a new model is released…

What’s even more sad though is that understanding does not equate to action.

I think it’s bad form to question Sal’s honesty because you (the editorial you) don’t like Sal’s pricing, especially as a guest in Sal’s place.

I’m not sure of your meaning, but if you mean we should not push back on inconsiderate remarks because that feeds the wrong wolf, we’re just gonna disagree.

My apologies, I think I was being too literal here. I didn’t realize this thread was partly in response to recent forum activity. Please excuse my ignorance.
