The recipe is good.
bake it right and you truly have something great.
Well done Dr. Larrin and thanks for doing the testing video to help increase our learning.
I think this is about as perfect as an all around steel that we can hope for.

Very impressive. Our Vietnamese brother knows how to do a great heat treatment, and MagnaCut ticks all the boxes for knife steel. Well done, Luong La and Larrin Thomas!

I now figure MagnaCut will become available in all Signature models in the fullness of time.

I would certainly like it in a Manix2, a Shaman, and a Military Model.

The unanswered question is whether dealer/distributor exclusives or Spyderco itself will make that happen.

I would love to do a serious, hard use test drive with a C-36 Military with a "Magnacut" blade. The C-36 Military and PARA2 both are excellent folders to test new blade steels with IMO.

I've had such great luck with my M390 Military model that it would be interesting to see whether or not the C-36 Military would also fare well with a Magnacut blade. There are few "hard use" blades I like as good as I do the C-36 Military model. There just isn't a better model to test "Magnacut" blade steel with than the C-36 Military.

I'm hoping to see it happen more as a standard steel option rather than a sprint or exclusive option. I guess availability will dictate that, it'll probably trickle out in those combos before it's abundant enough for standard production.

I was *very* hyped for the LC200N Salt 2, and I could resist it so far (I admit I couldn't resist an all black version though).
But for MagnaCut I'll even buy a yellow N5! The hype is very strong indeed.

I’d like to see it standard, too, but all that tempting up-front dealer/distributor cash could, as in the past few years, confuse things for the likes of us here.

I'm betting it'll be a little while before we see Magnacut as a standard steel across multiple models. There's so much hype right now that manufacturers are likely going to cash in on the exclusive/limited edition money printing machine.
