When looking at this yellow Salt knife (Manix), I just catch myself thinking "there must be an SE version" - just so '"usual" with this particular configuration in I think any other model that comes like that (did not check though)

My ongoing question remains: Why no full SE Manix at all...(at least in ffg, I think there was a hollow ground SE once - ?) ??!
Why not at least in the Salt version, where SE has a long "tradition" ?
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

I was wondering the same thing. I get one if so. I sort of just assumed it would be there, since the native got both. I assumed it was because the serrated manix got discontinued, but still surprised. My hope (prayer), is that maybe because we had so many skus added to the salt line (particularly magnacut) in the last reveal (manix pe, 2 different pm2 pe, para3 pe, native chief pe/se, stretch 2xl h2 pe/se), that maybe theyre just trying to spread them out
and we see them in the next reveal, but who knows. Id buy one in a heartbeat.

No, they just don´t do fully serrated Manixes (except back then a hollow ground one) and I really wonder why.

Actually started a thread about just this quite recently, see here viewtopic.php?t=95667#p1748541

Can´t see a reason for this:

- They do make serrated edges in Magnacut, BD1N, S30V... so that can´t be an issue.
- They bring out completely new models or new versions of existing models , where success and sales are unclear in the beginning, in PE AND SE (and sometimes CE) right from the start - Stretch XL (Salt and VG10'), Native Chief LW, Lil Native LW, Para 3 LW and so on - but never a Manix, certainly one of their bigger sellers.
- I figure putting serrations in an already existing blade, especially in not too hard steel like BD1N is not that much of an investment.
- And a serrated Manix, ESPECIALLY a Salt, would definitely sell, of that I am sure.

I really think teeth suit any Salt model well, and would also this Manix Salt.

To be clear: I am not complaining, just wondering... ;)

Well, it's here and it's awesome. I've been begging for this one for a long time and I'm glad to get my first screw construction LW. Will be a great summer carry, although S110v has stood the test of time: viewtopic.php?t=92418#p1623063

Who's got the best Rit Dye results here for yellow? I'm tempted by the Kelly Green fade, maybe to Red.

I dyed mine today. First time doing frcp other than black. Came out a little funny. Ibwas going for a light brown/coyote kind of color. The textured sides took the dye really nice, but around the permiter, by what would be the back spacer, it came out a little splotchy and made the injection marks from the mold even more obvious. If i did it again (and still may), if just leave it alone or go darker colors only.

How easy is it just to swap scales? I was thinking of changing the white LW scales from my Rex 45 version over to the Salt.

Scale swap to black.

Is this a black handle from an "old", pinned LW and you had to drill the pins out or did you already have a "new" screw construction LW in black?

And how/what exactly did you swap?
Just the scales?
Or also internal parts?
