Cutlery Shoppe LynchNW modded wharncliffe PM2 Exclusive

#1

Post by Buddafucco »

Cutlery Shoppe is teasing a LynchNW edition s30v wharncliffe Paramilitary 2 with orange aluminum (?) scales that have the LynchNW feather logo and a Lynch clip. If you missed out on the wharncliffe PM2, looks like you get another chance.

Update: Dropping tomorrow 6/7 Noon Mountain... $299 limit 1... 49 made.

Very cool.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

They say it's dropping this week. Their previous teaser showed two different boxes... One with a feather and one without? And the box said box 1 of 2. And it looks like 1-49 is written on the first box, so maybe 98 total?
I guess the real question is... How much?

It's odd, right?
Spyderco + LynchNW + Cutlery Shoppe.
I would imagine CS worked the deal and had Spyderco send partially finished knives to Lynch for finishing and then to CS... But that's a guess on my part.

This is really not as mysterious as some of you think. CS offered the wharncliffe PM2 as their exclusive. They held a few back so they could have Casey Lynch whip up a batch of his hard anodized aluminum scales, this time in orange, and offer a 100 or so (no idea on the number) in this configuration. I've had a set of Casey's aluminum PM2 scales for something like 5-6 years now (mine are dark grey, and I also have a titanium set), and recently he was offering a PM2 build on his own website with these scales anodized in a dark green and a plain S30V blade (IIRC). Spyderco had nothing to do with this other than to originally produce the wharnie PM2 batch for CS, it was Jeff and Casey that put these together. Cheers, Radioactive

Wow, that's pricey for S30v and aluminum scales.
