Yeah I saw that they were supposed to start dropping soon. I was excited about the Phoenix sprint run at first and planned to buy one. But now that it's almost go time I'm not sure. It would be a neat Spyderco to have but I almost certainly wouldn't carry it. At least not with the intention of actually using it. It's just not a design that begs to be used (IMO). I have a couple other Spyderco models that I've bought that won't likely see much use (Sage 4 comes to mind) but I haven't spent as much money on those. I think I'd rather spend another $100+ and go ahead and buy the Drunken. I have no doubt I'd carry and use that one. We'll see, I might decide to pick up a Phoenix if they're available for awhile

$450 is MSRP.

I'll definitely have my eye out for this one! I've always been a big fan of the original, theres no way I can miss this one!

I know, right?! The knife has an ambi lock, ambi opening hole, and both sides of the knife are symmetrical yet only configurable for right side carry.

Howard Viele was a knifemaker's knifemaker. Usually sold out first at the Guild Show. That's where I met him. An absolutely excellent designer and maker. This design is, in my opinion, one of his best.
