Just saw this on KiethKevinKen's IG page...looks like a green g10 handle with black oxide or satin 8cr blade. A Blue Ridge Knives distributor exclusive.

**Edit to correct the blade coating.

I love the green handles! Also really interesting to see screw construction.

Wow I didn't notice that! I wonder if they're planning to release other handle options, or if someone like Halpern might make them. That'd be great!

I think there was talk about exclusives coming around when the bow river released, good to see em’ coming to fruition. Is this the first exclusive to come out of china? I can’t remember any others.

It definitely opens up the possibility for custom scales!

There have been a lot of Tenacious exclusives as well as numerous Efficient exclusives.

It might be the first fixed blade exclusive though.

Count me in! I like those scales and screw construction. Getting some coating on that 8Cr13MoV will be great.

Just saw this too and came here to post about it. They look good but, since I gave one away and still haven't used my first one I don't think I'll be buying another one. If they were BD1N or some other steel maybe

I think Julia was just assuming it's DLC. Could be TiCN

Yeah, for sure. Sorry, I should've just said "black blade." Could be TiCN or some other coating.

That's a nice looking knife! Anybody that has one, would it make for a good kitchen knife or is it kind of on the thicker side? (I know I could look this up, but I'm already mid post :) )

It's fairly thin, not as thin as my Japanese knives, but totally thin enough; I use one as a utility knife in the kitchen regularly. I like the blade shape more and more over time. I have a South Fork as well, but don't prefer the belly on the SF as much as the more gradual curve of the Bow River.

I use mine in the kitchen and for camping food prep. It does well. The blade isn't super thick and slices well. It's not as slicey as the Z-Cuts but it's less flexible than those so it works well for cuts that need a little more force. The handle shape works well in that application too (IMO).

I'm a sucker for that color combo. Gonna have to grab the DLC green one.

Awesome! Thank you for your insight.

I'm a little offended that the Bow River saw a screw construction update before the Manix LW did ;)

I've used mine plenty for cutting and prepping mushrooms. It's definitely not as thin as a Shun, but I've loved mine.

In for the screwed version for sure! I can't wait to build some scales for them. :)
