Oh. They only showed one new knife. That’s kind of weird isn’t it? Hopefully some of the other knife dealers do a video with more selection.

I think that fits the new Reveal program / policy. They aren't going to show anything new until it's within the less than 120 days to be on dealer shelves window. The first Reveal stole their SHOT Show thunder.

I like the Para 3. Doesn't get as much use as others, but still makes its way into my rotation. This LW model has me interested.

Wonder if the blades are swappable with a G10 model? CRUWEAR LW here I come...

At that price, Golden made, I think it will make a pretty good gift knife! People are always surprised how light a Native 5 LW is when I pull it out. This should equally impress.

Yeah I figured they would stick to what was shown in the first reveal catalog. But to show just one knife from it? What about the Endura wharncliffe, one of the exclusive fish Natives, Ikuchi or the meerkat sprint? I guess we’ve sort of seen them before so no big deal. Just surprising to me.

I certainly hope some other Shot Show videos come out, that was sort of a snoozer! :D Looks to me like the Para 3 lightweight and G10 blades should be swappable but time will tell...

A huge no for me on that Tanto PM2 though. PM2 = FFG!!

I hadn't thought of that yet. You'd have to pay close attention to the lock up since you can't swap the liners.

The could have showed all the knives in the reveal catalog.

OH MY GOODNESS this is AMAZING and STUPENDOUS! Now we need it in LIGHT WEIGHT FRN with that same blade and also a SERRATED version! I KNOW JD Spydo would be all over that! :)

Spyderco often has a shelf of models that they don't allow photos of; curious to hear if anyone sees anything unique.
Plenty of "throw it at the wall, see what sticks" from the major competition right now, while I get the feeling Spyderco is carefully iterating with a very loooooong development cycle.
Excited about the front flippers coming out this month, looking forward to seeing more of those in future! (And more BD1N in thinner blades!)

Watched all the shot show vids from BHQ. Para3 lw looks great. I'm sure I'll pick one up down the road.

My only fear is that the upcoming Amsterdam meet will be the shortest ever :)

Although I understand, and agree, with the updated reveal policy, there is a cost to it. It seems like the cool prototypes will be reserved only for people who attend shows or meets and the rest of us will have to be patient in waiting months for the quarterly announcements. It kinda stinks but I think it makes a lot of sense for Spyderco.

Another thing to keep in mind is that with the old policy, I had a stronger sense of what models I should budget for throughout the year. I'm not sure if that will become an issue with the new policy.

I was really hoping to see an FRN Caly 3.5...

^^ this. And not because I can't have another PM2. Only because the blade shape of the classic PM2 is plain perfect.
