Hey, when is the Paramilitary 2 going to get the lightweight treatment?! PM2 with a wire clip is my dream knife.

I believe Sal has mentioned that Eric has been working on it.

Another vote for the wire clip!

That would be very welcome indeed. I love a tough featherweight folder.

I'm not a fan of the para 3 so I'll be skipping that. But the Lightweight PM2 will be cool.

I wonder if the blades will be interchangeable with older models. That would be mint.

I would also be very interested in a LW PM2, especially a Salt version. The LW PM3 looks great, but it's just too small for my hand.

I'm liking everything I see about the ParaMilitary 3 LW, I just prefer the ergonomics of the ParaMilitary 2. I really like the fact that the price is coming in under $100.

Another upvote here for the PM2 lightweight. Wire clip, S110V with UKPK-blue FRN, please!

You're not going to get an answer on "when", because of the new policy. You'll find out with an announcement 90-120 days before it comes out. And since Sal said it's in-the-works, you'll get it eventually.

I hope to find the LW has both tip up and tip down carry options.

Due to my being impatient I went to the gym and made myself marginally stronger, no need for a LW now.

I haven’t gone to the gym in like a month and now all I can carry are lw models
😭

But actually, I wonder how everyone would feel about a non-lw version with a wire clip? Based on some other models they’ve put that clip on. I don’t see why it could hold a g10 pm2 or para 3 in my pocket.

That actually made me laugh out loud! If it didn't clash with my love for Golden FRN I'd add that quote to my signature.

I'm really looking forward to it! I second the S110V with navy FRN!

I wouldn't be for it. While I like the wire clip on some models, buy and large I am not a huge fan of it in general. On my Manix LW its been fine, no complaints, but on my Dragonfly I use for work and my Lil' Native I find it gets bent and loses tension far too easily. Granted, its easy enough to remove and bend the ends slightly to get it to contact the scale again and have decent tension, but for a knife as "heavy" as a PM2 I prefer the clip it has. Now for the LW version, I think I'd be happy with either as long as its executed well.

Hopefully the LW Paramilitary 2 will have a partial liner on both sides so that the stop pin has a solid load path. While it hasn't been a problem for my LW Para 3, I tend to use much more force using my Paramilitary 2's. I don't think the overall length of the handle needs the structural support as the FRN is pretty stout and kinds of defeats the purpose of "lightweight", but a mechanical interface like the stop pin should have metal interfaces on both sides for a working knife like this.
