Oof. No offense but I think this is counter-productive advice. Intentionally grinding a burr just unnecessarily stresses/deforms the edge material, leading to easier failure.

Avoid burrs. If your system doesn't support alternating passes then make sure you're using coarse enough abrasives leading up the final passes.

When you create a burr on both sides then you know you are on the apex. Therefore i recommended that.

You can also use a light source and look for the edge to reflect light. Then you don't have to burr the edge.
