I like how slicey my Chaparral is, but I’d prefer it to be as big as my PM2. What’s the best slicer in that size class? (think apple slicing and box cutting)

The Stretch has fairly thin blade stock for it's size (.118"). Endura should be pretty good as well. Manix 2 FFG works pretty well for me too.

Spyderco has some good slicers in that size. I have regularly used the Stretch, Caly 3.5, PE Dyad blade, Mantra 2, Chokwe, and JD Smith on apples and other fruits. All work well. Not quite as large, but the Delica is a great one too. What is your preferred lock type?

I like my Mantra too but I figured the blade was a little shorter than the OP wanted.

Caly 3.5 for the win.

Centofante 3 has thin stock. I kind of want to buy one and regrind it to ffg now lol.

Beat me to it. I was going to say Centofante 3 as well. Can't beat it for the price.

I love the compression locks because I do sit and fidget with my knives. I haven’t tried a Manix 2 yet, and I don’t mind more back locks if they get the job done. I’m really not into liner locks and frame/integral locks. I’d choose the PM2 blade stock over those.

You could also have a PM2 reground if you want to go that route,

Caly 3.5....and we need a Sprint Run in this knife.

You enablers are making me take a look at that Caly. Ive never considered it before.

A lot of blade comes out of a handle that's just a tiny bit longer than the Para 3 and Delica.

Uhh, not really aside from lock type. A larger size Chaparral is a Sage. Simply Google “Spyderco Chaparral Sage” and you’ll find plenty of pics of them together, like this nice one from The Deacon:
