I'm not sure. I've been watching Spyderco on eBay for a long time, and sometimes there are a few selling low but as time moves on they cost even more. Most of the Para3 Sprints sell for around $300 even while the actual sale is still on for half the price.

I would not totally count out eBay even though good deals are getting more rare everyday. I scored a Spyderco H2 Hatchethawk for $15 below the lowest dealer price and had $10 eBay credits that forced me to buy it.

Received mine today, from a decent secondary eBay seller, I am very impressed with everything about this knife. These Golden Colorado PM 2's and 3's are amazing, to a point now where my other knifes are not so engaging, maybe time to sell?

I've been carrying mine all week. A very nice knife. I like 20CV a lot. No regrets. A nice companion for my Rex45 paramilitary, they make a nice pair and complement each other. Both are sharp as the dickens.

Honestly the DLT exclusive was cheaper than what I paid for my original s30v pm2 in store.. and it's a better steel in my opinion.. looks cooler too >.>

One reason for buying more than one of an exclusive or sprint run, is to trade for the ones that you missed when they first came out.

With that intention, I was able to get extras of the Para3 Rex45 burnt orange sprint run. And, just traded one for a PM2 20cv exclusive straight across. Fair to both of us, imho. Maybe now, i can stop trying to trade for the 204p.

Swapped out the scales for grooved titanium, ti lanyard tube, custom deep pocket carry clip with a cross. I really think that this is now my very favorite folding knife!

The light tan scales look great on a 52100.

ALSO, can anyone tell the Rockwell hardness of these 20CV models?

Thank you.

Ray

Haven't seen any measurements of Spyderco's 20CV, in PM2, Yojimbo or Mule.

Somebody measured an M390 Military at 61 HRC (viewtopic.php?t=56717&start=20), and Ankerson measured an M390 Mule at 60.5 (https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/ran ... pe.793481/). And I understand you cann't go higher than 62 without compromising toughness. So I'm guessing 60-61, Ray.

Roland.

Only DLT knows.
They could order another batch, but i think that is very unlikely in the near future. They somewhat promised a re-run of the red PM2 M390 run for 2019.

I just bought a pair of tan G10 scales only (no metal included) for this knife exclusive for a seemingly good deal. Putting a 20CV blade in it clearly wouldn’t be smart financially. Would it be super tacky to put an S30V/S35VN blade in it? I was considering a dlc S30V blade with black hardware.
Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated!

EDIT - A little back story about my past knife scale maintenance/assembly experience; I have none. Also here is a picture of what I ordered.

Not to detract from this sweet PM2, as im definitely keen on this one, but It seems some of these CC knives go to ebay before the retail release...how much of a collector are you if you're flipping them???
I was once a collector and let me tell you, collectors are not getting rich from ebay sales. When you become a collector, you agree to purchase every new model with every variation of that model. It's a lot of knives and an extraordinary amount of money. Usually, collector numbered knives sell for less than the standard versions.
