I like the jade, but I still think I'd rather see a regular production blurple 110V or Maxamet version, which I'm surprised haven't been done yet if there's been enough demand to support the handful of dealer exclusives that have been done.

seems to me that they will need to make a larger batch of the Shaman if that model ever happens.

Yeah, the Jade looks 1000 times better with the DLC blade and hardware. Im no longer a fan of the Jade / Satin combo.

From Blade HQ:
This Exclusive Spyderco Yojimbo 2 is a limited run of perfection. With the M4 blade steel you get ultimate edge retention for ultimate self defense. Dropping 10/2 at 10AM MT.

LOL.

How many bad guys can I incapacitate between sharpenings?

Cool release but this copy cracks me up.

I think too many people overlook how good this knife is for general utility use. A tougher steel is a great idea.

Especially with the tip being on the thin side.

I actually had my M4 native "Jade" knife in hand recently and was thinking what a nice jewel like combination it was. So I guess beauty is in the eye of the holder. The Yojimbo is an interesting knife, but heck -- I have already spent double my knife budget this month. Too bad the drop isn't in October.

I’m definitely getting one but that line is pretty funny. It’s the opposite of what MJ and Spyderco like to use for a self defence knife. Tool steel? Ha!

That line caught my attention also -- triggering my hype and BS detection circuits.

But despite that, this is tempting me -- yet again! I won't let hype and advertising copy discourage me from buying a nice knife. I am a sucker for M4. I find this flood of M4 exclusives interesting given that a year ago I was bemoaning the utter lack of M4 blades in the Spyderco lineup. I guess that is still true if you look at the catalog and regular production stuff -- but I have so much M4 now that I don't know what to do with myself.

I would prefer pvd instead. Kinda hard to patina though. Some people like putting mustard and stuff on their knives.

Amen to that. Not a huge fan of non stainless but this will be my first M4. I’ve resolved to add serrations to this one so I’ll keep people posted on that.

faux spyderedge or your own type of serrations?

I had Yo2 and it never grew on me, though this would make a badass mail opener :D

If we were in a :spyder: drought I might feel differently, but will likely pass (how many :spyder: knives have dropped recently that I had to buy? Yikes).

Need to decide on that. I’ll either use Veff, who would do his serration style I’d assume. I’ve also heard Wiley knives will grind Spyderco style serrations. I’ll probably call both to discuss beforehand.
