One way to narrow it down: Look at the pics that have already been submitted. If there's a good pic of a model that you also used in a pic, perhaps choose a different pic. Doubtful that there would be two calendar months with the same knife, right? And maybe consider what was pictured in last year's calendar too. I would also think that a knife from the current catalog might have an advantage even if that's not a requirement.

Thanks! I've already thought of that.

I guess I'm over thinking this, as usual. Sometimes I let my indecisiveness get the best of me. I'm just going to go with my gut and pick one that strikes me. Let the chips fall where they may.

As long as your pic doesn't kick the possibility of mine out of the calendar, I wish you the best of luck haha. Definitely a bunch of great choices to choose from. Some of you a very lucky to have the environment and scenery around you that you have. Not just for knife pics, but daily life in general!

Sharp Guy, those are all great photos. Numbers 1, 3, and 5 really stand out to me but they all look like great photos. I hope we get to see one in the calendar!

So grateful you started this thread Sharp Guy!

That deadline is FAST approaching and I've got a handful of pictures to sort out! Hopefully the forum can help me decide as well!

To start with, this was going to be my default entry if I wasn't able to get the other shots I wanted. I'm still open to submitting this, but personally think my other pictures are better.

This shot is from a recent vacation to the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Southern Colorado. I brought the Lil Native along with me because it has become a trusted EDC and I assumed it would be legal to carry throughout the state! Here it is pictured with a patch of Prickly Pear cacti, which is one of the most widespread genus of cacti Native to the Americas!

Edited to these two choices!

The Kiwi 4 was an instant favorite for me back when it was announced, I knew I had to have it! I quickly fell in love with the slim profile and wharncliffe blade. Coincidentally enough, Kiwi fruits have always been a favorite of mine. So, I've been thinking about a photo like this since I first got the knife.

I've narrowed it down to these two! Still having a hard time choosing!

I like best:

5 - the features and beauty of the knife is the centerpiece. The background does not distract. #1 has the most up-front impact but #5 says Spyderco quality and beauty consistently.

15

and 17

Excellent photos by everyone.

Sharp Guy,

Those photos look too good for smart phone snap shots.

What camera/lens are you using?

Early this morning I thought I had it narrowed down to 3 or 4 pics. The last 8 posts have me second guessing things.

It turns out that having the forum decide on a picture isn't much different than asking which knife to buy or what steel is best. :)
Yep... Now I know that feeling! :D

Ahhh! This is what I was afraid of!

Since I took it, I've been leaning towards the Kiwi shot, but now I'm second guessing myself!

I've narrowed it down to the Kiwi shot with the Forum Bug Nametag (Seemed appropriate with it being a "forum" calendar) versus the Lil Native Cactus shot. I'm going to sleep on it one last time before I finally submit the entry! Thank you, all, for your suggestions! Any more feedback is appreciated! This will be a hard decision! :spyder:

I'd enjoy that cactus shot in the calendar twice. What a great setup for cover text, and a Colorado plug!
