I prefer vg10 over s30v any day.
I love FFG SE blades.
I love the early single liner Millie’s.
I have not been able to bring myself to buy a tip up liner lock folder, and can’t understand why they are even produced.
I don’t like flippers, black blades, shiny clips, low rider clips, Camo or anything “tacticool” actually.
I don’t use box cutters Period. I’ve seen way too many accidents with them.
I don’t really care about corrosion,unless I’m on a boat.
I miss the serrated Military!
I don’t own safe queens.

Truth here. I don't use them. I break down cardboard boxes daily with my Spydies. My father in law cut himself badly with a box cutter. Still has issues in the hand he cut.

I don't like steels that patina. I feel like they are too much maintenance and I can't tell what the difference is between patina and rust.

I have no problems with s30v and VG10. I think they are great steels.

I do not like extra markings on my blades. Collectors #'s, Forum knife markings, EDC Forum, etc turn me off.

I own 10+ Para 2's but still only carry my Para 1.

So much this. I'd probably pay the $300 secondary market price for a Never Summer Native if it weren't for the designs and logo on the blade. Same with the USN Catcherman, Forum Native, etc.

You've never had a massive box from an appliance, TV, rolling toolbox, etc? No way I could get that in my recycling bin. I cut up boxes almost daily to get them to fit in my bins with everything else I recycle. Otherwise they wouldnt fit. And yes, I use a Spydie and not a box cutter. Turns an annoying task into "steel research"! :D

Certainly had all the above at one time or another but we get three bins here, rubbish, plant matter and recycling so we’re seldom if ever short of bin space.

They’re emptied weekly (greens as required). If any bulky bits of cardboard that won’t fit because the bin’s full they’re laid flat, out of the way behind the bins and disposed off when the bin is empty again.

Different strokes I s’pose. :)

In the US, where I live, recycling bins are only emptied twice a month, there are no bins for plant matter, and it's against the rules of the HOA (Home Owners Association) to leave trash anywhere besides inside your house or in a bin. It's a lot more practical to break down big boxes than the alternative.

And what grain is it we are against?

No, I disagree with them. I’m not asksing anyone to throw them out because they are ‘unpopular’. They are just someone’s opinions and aren’t particularly original. You can keep them if you want. That’s my opinion and if you disagree, that’s ok. This is a discussion forum after all and we don’t all live in the same bubble.

“Throw out” as in “offer for consideration” not “dispose of.”

True enough. I still don’t think there is a grain to be against but it’s more a statement of personal preferences. Interesting responses though.

Dang it.

I just use my S90V military for cigars. Put the stogie in the curve of the handle swell at the end and close the knife. Works pretty well. I've also done this with the M390 one as well. Spyderco wins again.

Who the f%ck would buy a $ 1000 cigar cutter?
I can buy a Higo and a bottle of Chivas with these money.
