To pay the plumber :)

Got into some fun changing the cartridges on some shower valves today. As in over my head, My boss sent his son in-law out who is a plumber. He was able to get both of them working fast they were very difficult to extract.

So As he was finishing the last one I said who shall I make the payment to and for how much?

He said forget it you are always helping my wife out with her stuff.

So I said okay thank you very, much.

You like to hunt and fish go camping right?

He replied oh yes...

I said that is good!

Since you can't accept payment then you must accept a gift instead.

He saw the Spyderco Jumpmaster in H1 in my hand and got a look on his face like a little boy, :) Hah up till then the young feller was looking tired from a hard days work!

He said wow a Spyderco!

Her Dad said you were a Spyderco Fanatic, Lol he is always popping out that knife you gave him and threatening to cut me. He loves that thing ( The Spyderco Calypso)

I said Lol that just means your in good company I went to a friend of his office to do some work for him and as I rounded the corner he Said Hey Homer! How ya Doing!??? ( Sounds Like R. Lee Ermy full Metal Jacket D.I.)

Sure enough he had a high Velocity rifle mounted in a Gun vice ( He is a Gunsmith ) pointed right at me laughing his head off. It was brand new with a custom cut barrel had not even had break in rounds through it yet. I knew this was the case as he has been waiting on getting that barrel in.

I replied how ya doing Gunny?!! Got a new Toy I see!! did it just come in? He replied you bet yer a$$ and she's a real sweetheart c'mere just look at this!

Then we got down to serious business talking about weapons and he went on and on about PSI, velocity, plasma shooting out the barrel and how to get the most velocity and distance before it goes sub sonic. I got to look down that scope and I mean to tell you it made the dark end of the room at the opposite side of that long building light up nicely! For sure this is a paper killing machine!

Anyhow that's what I used one of my many Spyderco knives for today, couldn't have gone to a more appreciative fella and he liked the story so I thought I would share it here.

Ha ha! She wants to start some tomatoes and peppers. I still have a packet of ghost pepper seeds I want to try growing this year. I tried a couple times this past year but they kept getting flooded out by torrential rainfall.

Thanks, it sure was a chore. The funny thing is, I did it without kneepads and my knees don't hurt.

Now my thighs, that's a different story! The constant up and down was murder on them.

Used the Lil Native to cut down a 3/4" diameter branch. Was trimming small tree branches with the lopper and had already put it back in the shop so the Lil Native had to suffice on the last branch. #toolazytowalk50feet

They're tough little knives. Especially yours with the titanium handles.

In the forty years (yes, 40 years) last July, I’ve known beloved wife, I’ve paid for things I’ve done, things I thought about doing and even stuff I didn’t do and didn’t even know about.

Spydergirl, I reckon fair to say we’re flush. :p
