Sal's thread about the possibility of producing a bug with our forum names on it for Blade gave me this idea.

Can our next forum knife be a Dog Tag folder with our forum name laser etched into it? Maybe even include a Spyderco lanyard so it could be worn around the neck during shows or meets. This would be a great way to identify and meet other forum members. The bug that Sal proposed could also serve this purpose but I just thought this would take it one step further. Isn't that the purpose of a dog tag anyway? :) :spyder:

I’d prefer a small blade like a dragonfly, as concealed blades are now prohibited in my state

Sounds great, I personally prefer a Dfly over DogTag.
But a DogTag I don't have yet, so...

Only an engraving is too little I think.
It should also have special steel/color.

What about an A.R.K. with LC200N and G10 scales. Maybe red and black like Spyderco colors? Would also be awesome to see the A.R.K. in different blade profiles.

Hey Remnar, I'm not into forum knives (all the "I want, I want" puts me off), but I think your idea is superb, if only for its "bigger than me" message.

I could get behind this idea!

I can also get behind the idea of a forum knife that is outside of the norm. Swick FB would be awesome, or even a smaller knife like the Dragonfly or Ladybug.

Love the idea of a personalized screen name forum knife. It would ruin the flipper aspect of it and give it some personal meaning.

Agreed. Would love to have one as a favorite tool AND keepsake.

As dog tags are meant to have personal information on them, I think the dog tag idea is brilliant.

This! No better forum knife than one that was made due to feedback on the forum.

I love the concept of a forum knife in general, so will pick up whatever is decided. I strongly prefer a folder, since it’s what I’ll actually carry (not legal to conceal a fixed blade where I am, and probably wouldn’t anyway).
