Police real or fake?

A place to list and reference all Spyderco counterfeits, clones, and replicas that are found. Anything that isn't a legitimate Spyderco fits in this area.

Police real or fake?

Experts, I need your help. Just got this SS Police with Combo edge. I noticed there are some quality control issues with it that leads me to believe it may not be genuine.

Hope you can help me out!

It looks awful small for a Police. Without seeing it beside a tape measure for scale i can only use the clip for reference, but it looks closer to Delica size or maybe Endura? The clip appears to be 50% of the total length. Compare the measurements to the Spyderco specs.

Anyone know if the markings are now etched like this? Also the serrations seem to be shallower than normal...

When I compare the picture with two of my old knives (~2002) it looks like about half an inch of the tip is missing and it has been regrind to create a new tip.
