Police C07G with gin-1 blade: was this ever made by Spyderco?

#1

Post by euphorbioid »

I have been offered this knife, a Police model with black G-10 handles and gin-1 blade. I can't find this combination on Spydiewiki or anywhere else. Was this combination actually made or is this a blade switch? The earliest G-10 Police models had ATS-55 blades according to Spydiewiki. All of the gin-1 blades had stainless steel handles.

Thanks,
Jan

If my memory serves me right, there were some made with G-10 and a GIN-1 blade as a domestic variant for the Japanese market.
This combination defintely exists, maybe some of them were also sold in the U.S.

The first run of Police Models in G-10 were linerless, saber ground and GIN-1 marked. The second run were flat ground ATS-55.
