It looks sharp. Nice blade.
Thanks! The trouble is, when I get my knives that sharp I don't want to spoil all that work by using it. ;)

Thanks, she is a good looking knife, and feels great in the hand, but the action is very stiff. I guess I'll need to spend many hours working with her.
I'm looking forward to seeing your new Bark River.
Today I ordered a Chris Reeve "UMNUMZAAN" with a drop point blade.

Which one did you order? If I could make a recommendation, the Inkosi with Insingo Blade is my absolute favorite. The blade is such a useful utility blade shape, and the handle almost melts into your hand...my hand at least..Plus is has the new large washers and adjustable pivot.

I ordered a UMNUMZAAN with a drop point blade, once it comes in I'm going to disassemble the knife, then stone wash the scales, and clip. Pictures to follow! :)

Great choice! The Zaan will be my next CRK as well, when money allows.

Also, what do you mean by stone washing the scales and clip? Do you mean scotch briting them or similar? I just ask because I know CRK is very tough on their warranty and if you modify the knife in any way to mess with the original finish, or “round” the edges, they will not offer warranty repair and spa services anymore.

Stone washing in a rock tumbler. This new CRF will be my test piece.
