What "Other" is in your pocket???
Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
That is impressive work Connor. I wish I could be creative and do something constructive like that with my free time, really get to know my knives better...instead I sit on the forum and watch others do it hahaha.

Thanks! Don't feel too bad - it's rare for me turn a stick into anything more than a pile of shavings. :D
That wooden chain took a couple tries. The whistle was easier.

**Leatherman Wave multi-tool with 2 extremely sharp blades, plain and serrated -- both with asymmetric deployment blade holes and many more capabilities within, as well as the
single- notch deployed Nasty Toothed Saw -- Got it at my neighborhood Home Depot some years back when this item was priced at close-out house markdown -- the last one they had left. Very impressed as to design, materials, construction and facilitation -- all in a ballistic nylon aftermarket soft cased, black velcro belt-carry pouch.
Can't go without a teensy plug for two of my favorite Spydies:
**Chinook 1 in PE, CPM 440V;
**Chinook 2 in CE, CPM S30V
These pieces, constructed in Golden, Colorado are among other nostalgic and legendary Spyderco creations from all those years back.

WOW...this came in the mail today and I have never been more happy with a knife. It just checks off so many boxes for me, and the Skinny Slicer grind is just amazing. It is really **** slicey! This one’s going to be in the pocket for quite a while, and I really don’t see myself buying any more knives for 2019.

Wish I had the marbles to spend that kind of money on a knife...I don't even look at them because of the temptation, besides what you guys post here. Awesome looking knives fellas.

Apparently this is the Hinderer thread. Don't get all riled up. I'm just sayin'. Every time I look, that's what I see. Must be real popular. I personally don't see why. Probably the ubiquitous flippers.
- best wishes, Jazz.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I used to think the same way. But, then it occured to me that I have several $175+ Spydies that I really dont use a lot for fear of loss or marking them up lol.
Then, I took the plunge. And, I've had several very nice ZT's that are built like a tank. Very nice indeed. And most are $200+
At any rate, getting my paws on a Hinderer was a real eye opener.
Talk about build quality and just overall awesomeness! Lol.
They are just in a different league imo.
Very well worth the price considering what you pay for a new Spydie or ZT for the matter. And, I'm not saying eithers pricing is out of line. The Hinderer is just really, really, nice imo.

No worries Jazz. This is the Other in your pocket thread :D
If ya dont like flippers, you prolly wont like Hinderers.
It's all good.

If you're wielding the sharpest tool in the shed, who's going to say that you aren't...?

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Hinderers are very nice indeed, so nice I no longer own any Spyderco folders. Only own two Spyderco fixed blades now the Junction and Bradley Bowie. Hinderer really made me open my eyes too, they are imo the best work knife you could ask for. I’m down to only four folders now, Hinderer XM-18 3.5 Swedged Spear Gen 6, Hinderer XM-18 3.5 Skinny Slicer Gen 6, CRK Large Sebenza 21, and a Massdrop Laconico Keen. Of course I’m carrying the Skinny today.
