2 month dog tags review around neck 24/7

#1

Post by endgame »

it has been two months since I put on the dog tag it has been on 24 /7 except for the shower.plus I had a titanium ball chain necklace.I clean twice and used renaissance oil twice.I'm a chef in the kitchen so its been sweat on for about 8 hours to 10 hours a day.I used to cut zip ties ,cardboard, carrots herbs, pheasant, french the bones on lamb, beef,.venison, pheasant ,and pillard.
so far no rust at all.I little wear on the area of the hole that the stainless split ring connect the dogtag to the chain.I sharpened 4 times with little effort.frenching bones dulls a knife fast but no chipping.collor hasnt changed but gets finger prints easly and smudges.I hope the black on is more of a matt finnish.its is very comfortable for smalk cuting tasks.
all in all this is a verywell built knife.handy and easy to sharpen and clean.I get compliments all the time and then they are so surprised when I show its a knife.I recommend this highly and is definitely worth the money.only two improvements I think can be made.color to a flat base so it doesnt smudge so easily.a easy release clip to aytach the knife to a necklace or whatever.also be easy to unclip and use but not so easy it falls off.I would get one if you want a cool ,usefull ,and unique neck knife you can wear anywear.just find a place selling eathet titanium or stainless necklace if you dont wear gold or silver.pluss I use a stainless split ring to connect it.im thinking of getting it engraved.

Thanks for your review. Sounds like a winner. I'm holding out for the black one for sure. How about some pics?

I have one but haven't used it much since I don't have a chain yet. I would agree that a quick release would be ideal for it. One thought I have is that perhaps they should have gone with a more stainless steel than S30V. As this is an item meant to be worn, that means thing like sweat, showers, rain, etc. will come into contact fairly regularly. Would love to see something like LC200N on it. Low carbide keen edge with high corrosion resistance? Yes, please.

Wow, you use a fishing snap as an attachment? I have one of those on the flashlight on my keys and the end of the wire pokes everything. That doesn't irritate your chest?

it could easly be a nice bill fold with a few.mods.I dont no if serge would want sal to change his design so you would have to do it youreself.you could connect a clip to hold the money to the underside of the pivot to the hole on top to cover the blade and hold the bills

Except that locking knives are illegal in both England and NYC.

Serious? Like I am going to go on a spree of slicing people with a little dog tag knife.

I do not agree with the whole weapon control saves lives thing but if you are going to go that route at least use some common sense.

I guess that with only a ladybug as weapon I could slight the throat of many woman in the local mall if I was some crazy psycopath dude. Small size doesn't make a knife less dangerous if in the hand of a madman.

Hah, I must have missed that the dog tag was a slipjoint!

I would love to see a review of the dog tag versus the DPx hit cutter.

Do not agree with this. While any knife is not something I would want to have cut me. Heck papercuts sting.

Saying that a dog tag knife is not less dangerous then say a K-2 is just not accurate.
