I have an idea--they should come up with a web-based made-to-order knife that is fully customizable with different handle and blade options for thousands of configurations.

I have heard this suggested. It would be awesome, but you'd probably have a better chance of convincing forum users to pool money and commission an exclusive run of something. Anyone know off hand ballpark what that would cost? What's the smallest size commissioned run Spyderco will do? What did the USN green and black ladybugs cost to produce?

A bit of a zombie thread. I thought a run of jesters was a go but have not heard anything in a long time (unless my searching was poor). I remain excited about a run of these and either the navy discussed previously or a hap40 run would be great. Any news out there?

Frankly I am surprised that FRN Jester sprint didn't happen yet. There is no extra expense for Spyderco or supplier. All tooling is in place. Grey G10 sprint was sold withing few days after release and the knife was much more expensive than FRN model. The only thing I can think of is production schedule. Still 2+ years is a plenty of time to fit a sprint.

Can't believe I sold my grey G10 jester. I miss it dearly. I would buy any PE version of a jester regardless what scale or color. This thread got me excited. Now we need it!

I'm still waiting for the dark blue (or any color but black) Jester...
Spyderco seems to like to do 1200 pcs in a run, so for a fairly cheap knife (i.e. Jester) it would probably be ~$50K and for a PM2-level knife it would probably be ~$150K. Of course I just made that up using prices a little lower than MAP, so it could vary a lot. Recent thread about lost Jester remind me that I do not have a back-up (my mistake).
Is any chance to see sprint of this wonderful knife? I have no doubts that it will be sold out fast. I certainly will buy several: back-ups, gifts.
