Centofante 3 would be my vote, but I think it's pinned (Don't have mine handy to check.) Don't let that get in your way, though. It's a great knife.

Not sure how different than the endura/delica you're looking for, but the salt series is screw construction now, dragonfly, but there's not really much in that price range that isn't either pinned or FRN besides the Tenacious family.

You've definitely limited your choices but the Tenacious, Ambitious, Persistence, Resilience, Cat, Chicago, and Dragonfly Salt, as well as recent production of the Salt I and Saver Salt use screw construction and can all be found for under $60 assuming you're located in the USA.

+1 for the Salt 1. Great knife and the rust-proof aspects makes it a neat present.

Please, oh please .... tell me where I can find this one for $60. My guess is you'd be hard pressed to find it for much less than $80. I keep cruising Ebay in hopes of finding one on the cheap.

The difference between $60 and $70 is $10. The math is obvious but percentage wise it's not a huge spread.

Is there more important criteria besides being able to disassemble it? (not rhetorical)

Yea a $70 gift is a very nice one. The Manix2 makes a heckuva statement so perhaps pushing is worth it.

For me the Stretch VG10 is awesome. You might check it out.
