Nice! I just have IV to get. I'd better not get into collecting the Chaparral series too :spyder:

They are all great so there is no "best". For the Sages just choose what lock you like best and get that one :)

Or you could pick by handle material too. I like the Ironwood makes me wanna finish my scales for my mule.

Or pick ALL of them. Got 1, 2, and 3. #4 is on the way. Maybe today... maybe today!

Nice pics! Thanks for sharing. The Sage 4 is really growing on me (although the price isn't) and part of me wishes I never sold my Sage 3.

I only have the Sage 1. So the Sage 1 is the best.

djinnzfree, could you take a picture or two of the inside of the knife. Lying on it's spine or side and taking a picture into the open area of the handle? I'm thinking one of the top inch near the pivot and one overall will do it.

Hopefully we can figure out if it has the Chaparral style lock or the Native 5 style lock or neither.

Thanks.

Is this what you want to see?

I thiiink I'm seeing the Native 5 style lock. The obvious key to the Chaparral lock are the channels cut in the liners and sort of a pin sticking out of the blade into those channels. I don't see this. The Native 5, the most obvious thing is that the spring travels pretty far down the back of the knife. I think I see that in the upper left picture.

The Sage 3 is the only one I own out of the Sage series. It is probably the smoothest Spydie I own.

I just had to sell my Sage 1 and 3 to fund the purchase of my first handgun. These pics have brought a tear to my eye. OH THE HUMANITY!

I sure as **** hope so. Hopefully someone will buy my Navaja too, but they might have to pry it from my cold dead hands.

Worst of all I let go of my G10 Delica. The new owner is cool though, he took the time to give me some gun advice prior to my purchase.

Hopefully I can replace these bad boys once I have a little extra cash to burn. I am definitely going to buy the IV, but I still want all 4 :)

If this trend continues, the Sage V should weigh more than 130g. And the Sage VII should weigh as much as a fully-loaded Manix...
