Just minding my business when.....

#1

Post by PureSeventyNine »

I was in the kitchen making my power smoothie with

1 cup 1% milk
3 tbsps plain yogurt
1 frozen banana
6 frozen strawberries
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup cooked unsweetened oatmeal
2 tbsps peanut butter
1 tbsp flax seed
1 tbsp whey protein
6 ice cubes
1 large arachnid of choice

.....wait....what.

This little sucker comes out of nowhere and asks me if I have any grey poupon. How rude. Instead of killing him I made him model for his freedom to the back yard.

By the way, can anyone identify this species?

I thought it might have been a BR but wasn't 100%. Thanks, I was very careful handling it.

WOAH!!! that's the most impressive Spyderco/Spider picture I have ever seen. That is crazy you have those in your house!! For once I am glad I don't live in a tropical climate.

Well I don't care what kinda spyder that is!!!...If It were my pic...you'd see a dead spyder (considering its size) squished onto my Spyderco knife...I'm not kidding!!!....So you are a better man than me....I have a general rule about insects of all type...If you stay outside, where you are posed to be...I'll let you alone to live in your environment undisturbed...but you cross my threshold into my domocile..you will feel my wrath...and probably not leave alive,,,nuff said...LOL....Doc :D

I eat six times a day. So half of this for breakfast and the other half after dinner. It's smooth, naturally sweet, convenient, and healthy.

Nice pics. I agree with Doc. If that was in my house, it would be dead. Like the 8" centipede I had once. Emptied a can of roach spray (only spray I had) on it and STILL had to beat it to death.

Bugs and me do not coexist in my home. :)

i had to do a triple take to to make sure that was a military, that being said the spider was bigger than i thought for a house spider.

Yeah, nice shots but not a BR - there are a lot of species that are distantly related to the BR and look similar but are totally harmless, so you did the right thing to just send it on its way ... live and let live :)

Just remember that spiders are almost certainly more scared of you and if you let them run away they will take that route rather than pick a fight :D That, added to the fact that 99% (probably more) are completely harmless, should help settle the nerves ;)
