Yes, those brass liners really make this simple little knife feel classy. I'll take more pics of it, vintage stuff is always nice to watch... :)

Nivero's CoPilot is an unusual one because it has both brass liners AND a blade marked G-2 stainless. It is from a later run of brass lined CoPilots that were produced after Spyderco started marking blades with the steel type.

It's a C09S, with a G-2 marked blade. Probably produced around 1992-1995. Look inside and see if it has the integral lockspring or the separate lockspring. I have photos of both types side by side earlier in this thread. If it has the integral lockspring it is earlier (closer to 1992). Replacement clips are available for sale from Spyderco.

Thank you. It has the separate lockspring. It has the clip but i took it off like i do on all my spydies. If anyone needs a OEM replacement C09 clip or C29 FRN clip(s) send me a PM.

The cut down version was an experiment that led to the Pegasus and the Cricket.

Here's my pic of my favorite co-pilot. I believe it to be a Santa Fe Stoneworks custom in Black Jet and abalone. Could someone please confirm and provide a rough time stamp for it?

It's nice that's for sure. Thank you. I am lucky to have one so unmarked from being kept so well. I have the box too, it's a nice square cream coloured box from Santa Fe with some cotton wool. Love it when they take time to make something special. I do love a good wharncliffe too Spidergirl. I'd be interested to know how many they made like this, as we don't see them very often.
