I may have to pick up a double stuff. Not sure if I should go with the 1 or 2. I generally finish my edges with the medium stone, so I'd hate to be without that option. But it would be fun to try out CBN for the first time.

I ordered the 1 and 2. It was $67 free shipping. Just saying :spyder:Vivi wrote: I may have to pick up a double stuff. Not sure if I should go with the 1 or 2. Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places
I got both double stuffs a couple months back. Been carrying both in the thigh pocket on my carharts. Yesterday I sharpened a colleague’s super dull, found on road driven over Klein pocket knife. The cbn made quick work of the shredded edge (didn’t fix the first 1/2” it looked like someone batoned an anvil) then stepped through brown and white. Very impressed with these stones. Only problem with carrying them is you start looking for things to sharpen.
I think the best combo might be the DS2 and a medium bench stone.

I’m currently using a Double Stuff and C/F Diafold as my “on the go” setup, but am (im)patiently waiting for a CBD Golden Stone.Woodpuppy wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 5:18 pmI got both double stuffs a couple months back. I think a CBD Golden Stone for setting a new or damaged edge plus the medium and fine grits on the original Double Stuff for finishing would be AMAZING.

$175 on Amazon right now. It's not in stock, but shows it'll be in stock March 8.

Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places
Wow. That's nice....
I already have one. The first Spydie I ever bought. Still love it.
Wouldn't mind having a back up. I wander about CQI for the Vallotton, but imo, doesn't seem like it needs any to be honest.
P.S. Just brought it up on Amazon, and Amazon says I purchased this knife on April 15, 2014. They are exactly right lol. Pretty cool.
For about the same price I might add.

I was going to take advantage of this offer, but when I went to register for their site I actually read their terms of use. Check out what you're giving them permission to do with your email account:
This app wants permission to do anything you can do in your Gmail, including:
Read your emails
Compose new emails
Add new emails meant for a different email address into your inbox
Send emails for you
Delete your email
Create, change or delete your email labels
That's a hard pass right there.
Re: Crazy deals @ Sierra and other places

If you create an account with another email address (don't hit the "use google" or "use facebook" options) it doesn't make you agree to those things.Zatx wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 5:45 am
