Ya, looks like they charged my PP account for the Kapara preorder.

Could that have been a temporary hold on your funds?
I preordered the Techno and the money didn't leave PayPal. I later ordered the Burl Manix 2 and I see that PayPal transaction.

I have my PP linked to a credit card and Campsaver shows as a pending charge. The email from Paypal says: Thanks for your order at CampSaver.com. Money won't leave your account until CampSaver.com processes your order.

I bet that pending charge will disappear and you will not be charged until the knife ships.

Campsaver didn't have any Spydies that I had to have, but I did order a pair of shoes from the "Outlet" section that were too cheap to pass up with the additional 20% off. Ordered yesterday and got a shipping confirm today. So far, so good.

I ordered a lw chaparral from campsaver with the 20% off code last Thursday, but today got an email from PayPal saying the funds were refunded... my order status on campsaver says “waiting for items”.

I don’t have high hopes that they’ll be able to reauthorize the transaction with PayPal and actually ship though.

Anyone have any experience with something like this?

The status went back to order processing, then something like needs attention today. Talked to customer service and sent the funds via PayPal again after the refund. Now back in being fulfilled status.

I plan on gifting it to my son for deep sea fishing (he's not the best at upkeep ) cause every other knife has rusted up on him. It will also be his first upper end spyderco (bought him a tenacious for a gift) so I'm probably not even going to open the box....I'll want one if I do :D
