I'll take that Street Beat action. I'm neither cool nor hip, so perhaps I'm way off base with my thinking. I always thought the name "Street Beat" had something to do with law enforcement, or the kids in Golden who rap dance out on the sidewalk in front of the Spyderco factory. Or maybe the Golden PD cops who rap dance out on the sidewalk in front of the Spyderco factory.

I really don't think the name of the knife is about bludgeoning people with baseball bats. It just seems a bit contrary to Spyderco's "Shiny Footprints" mantra.

My own belief is that that mystery advertisement is promoting Spyderco's new clothing line. The first exclusive to drop will be the DLT Tank Top in DLC Black.

I do like the Tuff, just hope they’d smooth out the scales if they gave that one the purple g10 + coated CruWear treatment. Those dimples are not so flattering…

Although someone suggested a battlestation, if that gets done with the purple g10 + coated CruWear treatment I’d snatch it up immediately.
Lightly insane.

What's worse about the dimples is how amazing the prototype was.

Wow, that would have been a much more appealing design!

Does the Tuff have a negative blade angle like the other Schempp designs? I would be interested in that case.

I like the tuff, its one of the ones I missed out on, but Im not holding my breath.

Although, if any dealers are listening, I would jump on a subvert if it came in a tool steel.

Whoa! They could even use the Waterway’s diamond g10 pattern to mirror it! What a missed opportunity, thankfully they’ve got an opportunity to rectify it ;)

I’ll second this and add that a salt version would be nice too :)

Yes it has that negative blade angle. Here are a few more shots.

I doubt they would rectify such a massive change in the scale pattern for future releases...

I think I'd rather see a Street Beat. As much as I want to like the Tuff I just don't see myself getting any use out of it. A tool steel extra tough version of the Street Beat just makes sense, the design has a lot more going for it than just self defense. In my book it does everything an Izula does and does it way better (strictly speaking design vs design). I'd even love to see a skeletonized handle Street Beat.

This going to be such a bummer when it's a wood handled, DLC, 20CV PM2/Shaman.

Well you won't need to worry about that.

So this means it won't be a PM2 or a Shaman? Interesting....

DLT’s exclusives are already hard to get. Why do we need the hype?

What about my initial guess of it being a Tuff!?

I'm also starting to wonder if it's possibly some type of Military
