Hopefully, it will be a stock item and not a sprint.
I believe it's going to be regular production.

Maybe it's just me but but I would like to see the hi-vis yellow handle and black blade combo.

that would be cool too.

honestly, i’m torn. i prefer all black for discretion, but yellow seems pretty non-threatening. although, my coworkers gave me weird looks when i pulled out my dragonfly salt, so it doesn’t seem to have helped really.

I'd like either the satin/yellow or blacked out. Would prefer blacked out but I'll buy what they offer.

Black on black would look pretty good. But, Hi-viz green and black, like the USN model would be really nice.

i don’t hate hi-viz green, but i hate its association with zombies and the association of edc with a zombie apocalypse. i don’t take myself too seriously, but that irritates me. there’s real reasons to carry edc items and talking about zombies or the government collapsing just makes a joke out of it and makes us look crazy or ridiculous.

^^^ I DEFINITELY agree with that. You don’t normally see a quality knife come out in neon green. I like the idea, but the industry is flooded with bright green trash. Not to say there isn’t a lot of orange/yellow trash out there, but these tend to be a safer option for knife distributors when looking for a more visible color.

spyderco uses yellow because it’s the last color we’re able to see in low light (like deep underwater). it’s the same reason a lot of scuba gear is yellow. i understand it, but this native would make an insanely good edc knife and i don’t consider bright colors the best for normal edc. i’d just like it to be more discrete. not sure if i’ll order this one in yellow or just hope it comes out in black. i guess i could dye the handle if spyderco doesn’t oblige.

$5 and an hour of your time and you can have a black Native Salt. It's what I plan to do if I get one.

Yellow is also the first colour you see in your peripheral vision. I really like the Yellow Spyderco uses.

i don’t really mind it on my df2 salt. not sure i would feel the same on a bigger knife i’d carry more. we’ll see, i guess. if i end up dyeing it, i may try for an od green or fde before going for black.
