Recently for me, I've been reaching for my plain jane serrated VG-10 endela. Cutting food, opening packages, just a bunch of every day stuff. I actually seek this out over my plain edge knives.

I've already replied in this thread long ago, but let me say: I 110 % get what you mean.
The Endela SE is what made me a firm "SE beats PE in practically all of (my) folder tasks" - believer, and the only reason why I don't carry mine often anymore is THIS amazing model (pic) :smirk... even lighter, even better serrations, more edge...MY new "go-to-Spyderco" (that said: Stiil love my Endela SE too, especially as a sturdy workhorse with a stronger tip).

While I'm loving my Cruwear stretch 2 XL, the default go-to is one of several wharncliffe Delicas.

not sure why i never responded to this one. at the time of this thread, i would've said my favorite go-to was a pairing of my m2lw (xhp) and pacific salt (se h1). today, it would be my either my custom manix (m390) or my rec exclusive manix (204p) paired with the same pacific salt. hard to beat a manix and a pac salt.

Oh man, I can recall the pics of your brown XHP Manix 2 LW and how I always mused about if I perhaps would even prefer this version over my (still) beloved REX 45 variant :smirk
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

At home, it's a PM2 Cru-Carta. Away it's a Native 5 Maxamet. The N5 Max is a little nervous about the soon to arrive Native 5 Salt Magnacut, however...

Any flavor of Native 5 LW or wharnie Delica for a quick trip into town. Serrated Salt 2 if it's yard work.

I am blessed or cursed that I don't really have a favorite, but favorites. Typically, I turn to my most recent acquisition. Right now, when I can't choose I go to the Shaman. I'm still in the honeymoon phase. I also frequently turn to the Caly 3.5 or Native Chief if I can't decide. Or if that doesn't work I'll grab the GB2 or Military. I like having the Endura in K390 close by. Always willing and ready to have the Polestar in pocket. Yeah, I can't choose.

Like most members in here, I have MANY Spyderco knives that I love. I rotate my EDC knife daily so I get to use and carry everything in my collection, but I find myself reaching for one of these three most often....

K390 PM2
15V G10 Manix 2
LC200N SpydieChef

The SpydieChef has seen the most pocket time due to it's thin footprint and corrosion resistance. It takes up minimal pocket space for it's blade length, and I don't have to worry about the blade steel rusting etc.

I won’t say the PM2 is my favorite, but carrying one is for me like putting on an old pair of jeans. Comfortable, and I know what I’m getting is better than most.

Plus, if and when I really want to think about ways the PM2 is better than most, I can try it in 10 different steels.

Pm2, I just know and love the knife so much. It’s like getting into your car and driving every morning, just feels right. I don’t even notice the knife in my pocket when I carry, but I can always tell when it’s not in my pocket lol.

Dragonfly k390 wharncliffe. The dragonfly is the smallest and lightest knife that I can get a proper grip on, which is great because it adds basically no bulk. k390 is a great steel too and wharncliffe blades are really useful for things like cutting packages open. Hopefully they'll make a 15V lil' native lightweight some day. That might overtake the dragonfly.
