Harsh lighting today, but I'm grateful for the sunshine after a weekend of storms.
I wonder if any of the EDC influencers carry around a little white cocktail umbrella to act as a mobile diffuser?
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Just came today. Wanted a Para 3 LW for some time. Don’t care for coatings but thought I’d try it out

Love that color combo. If I had more in the knife budget these days I would've picked one up. I think if I had anyone I needed to buy a knife for right now that'd be it.RugerNurse wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 12:57 pm

Thanks, Its not exactly vivi's but same idea. Thin edge angle and coarse. I brought it down to 15dps and since i keep a sharpmaker at work, just hit it with the brown stones (or sometimes just diamond) a few passes when it gets duller. Its just convenient. I always carry a pe and an se at work, so this isnt getting heavy cutting tasks, but i dont usually have to touch it up more than once a week of standard use.SaltyCaribbeanDfly wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 8:27 pmCool pic …that’s the second time I’ve noticed the edge on your Pacific; did you sharpen it like Vivi and how long does it seem to last? I only have SE H2 but love the steel and would like to try PE

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Cool, I was just thinking I’d get another Salt 2 wharnie or Stretch in PE cuz I’ve been seeing a lot of H1/2 PE lately here… I did have a Dfly PE at one time but technically it was a gift to my Valentine and I used it more than her; we gifted it to my niece when she went off to college and I got her a pink Squeak but I never could keep the Dfly sharp for long though…thanks for the infoWindward wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 8:58 pmThanks, Its not exactly vivi's but same idea. Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I sharpened my pacific salt in H2 on a 300 grit stone, left it at 17° which was the factory angle because im still new to freehand sharpening and trying to learn muscle memory at a consistent angle, but the PE takes a really sharp edge. We are moving in a month so I’ll be breaking down boxes, I’ll be curious to see how it holds up.SaltyCaribbeanDfly wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 4:47 amCool, I was just thinking I’d get another Salt 2 wharnie or Stretch in PE cuz I’ve been seeing a lot of H1/2 PE lately here… I did have a Dfly PE at one time but technically it was a gift to my Valentine and I used it more than her; we gifted it to my niece when she went off to college and I got her a pink Squeak but I never could keep the Dfly sharp for long though…thanks for the infoWindward wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 8:58 pmThanks, Its not exactly vivi's but same idea.
